Mess to Method: Cluttered Space to Farmhouse Dream Pantry

We were asked back to the Fern Prairie Ranch for another fun project! We love it when we can take a chaotic situation that causes stress and turn it into an organized and calming space for a family to live in. Making simple changes like categorizing and labeling can make all the difference in keeping your space free from clutter. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by all of the “stuff” in your home, pick your biggest stressor area, do a quick edit, group like items together, and feel that instant relief settle in. Once one area is done, I promise you’ll want to do more! Take a look below at what can happen when you get organized.

BEFORE

This pantry was a source of frustration for our client. She was overbuying because she couldn’t find specific items. Her little ones couldn’t find their snacks on the cluttered shelves. It was difficult to plan for dinner not knowing what was actually in the pantry. There was clutter on every shelf. It was time for help.

AFTER

Methods were put into place to allow every item to have a home. Kid snacks were relocated to lower shelves and labeled. There is now a Keto section with a wall mounted butcher paper dispenser and cutting board. The Au Pair has her bins specifically for her use only and hidden from the kids. Extra lighting was installed for better use of the appliance shelf.
